The Baby named....

Baby – its pink, rosy, so very delicate you are afraid to pick it up and handle it. But again it’s too hard just to stand looking at it. You pick it up – then what? Rest is trouble. Its soft, its supple but it doesn’t care it tries to wriggle, to move around and cuddle to make itself comfortable in your grown up strong arms.

You try to soften yourself, try to make yourself flexible coz you are afraid of hurting it, but you have no heart to let it go either. Now that you possess it but you don’t know what to do with it. But still you just want to hold it to your chest and wait, till it opens it tiny little blue eyes, and take a look at you.

Finally it sees the world, in it sees your face, and you don’t know what the look means. It doesn’t identify you, you are just another stranger. Slowly it grows, you feed it, you wrap it and you dress it. And when you leave it alone to sleep, it wakes you from your slumber with a cry in the middle of the night.

Is it hungry? No you fed it. Something is hurting? Had a bad dream? Or is it just not ready to be lonely? You will never know, because it never speaks, but again it wants you to read it, understand it and provide what it wants.

You hold it for a while, you tap it gently and sing a song, it gives you a smile, but you don’t know what that smile means? Is your face funny? Or it likes disturbing you in the night? Or is it smiling on the fact that it made you a fool? Does it like you? Again you will never know. But what you are sure of is the fact that it smiled and that means a lot to you.

It amazing the way it looks deep into your eyes and says what it needs but without saying a word. Poor you, god dint make you intelligent enough to read it. But that’s how it is and you can’t change it. Its looks away holding your finger tight, you don’t know what it wants. You are desperately waiting for the day it will open its mouth and speak. But the wait seems to be eternal.

Have you ever thought handling this baby is easy? Specially this baby named LOVE.

Now read it again :)

Its the last line that was the best. Read the whole post again after knowing the 'baby' :-)
In my first read, i was visualizing my baby nephew. Oh! i am so obsessed with him! :-)

for a moment, u thought u were planning to become a daddy :)

But the last line made me reread it. Love has to be properly nurtured, slowly and carefully....like that ajay devgan song, dheere dheere pyar ko badana hain... :)
